Neuroscience Day & EN Afternoons

Edinburgh Neuroscience's community events

Neuroscience Day

Neuroscience Day is our annual flagship event. Up to 400 colleagues from the University — from undergraduate students to senior professors — join this one-day conference. It showcases the breadth of research taking
place at Edinburgh through a variety of talks, posters, exhibitions and networking opportunities.
Typically, the programme will include flash talks from PhD students and new group leaders; a special
feature on emerging stories — new research directions or unexpected results for which our
researchers are seeking collaborators; and closing with an invited talk from a visiting researcher of
international renown.

Take a look at our programme below for a flavour of the breadth of our research. Interested in exhibiting and sponsoring Neuroscience Day? Full details are in the Sponsorship Brochure.

Edinburgh Neuroscience Afternoons

EN Afternoons are half-day events organised throughout the academic year. The programme usually includes a series of short talks from early careers researchers and PhD students; a talk about professional development or the implications of policy developments in the sector; and a keynote lecture from one of our leading researchers.
