Edinburgh Neuroscience currently has about 250 PhD students working on a wide variety of neuroscience-related projects. Being part of the Edinburgh Neuroscience CommunityOur PhD students are an integral part of our research community and we are keen to recruit motivated and collaborative students. We are forever eager to hear from those pursuing new avenues of research. PathwaysThere are two PhD pathways: Individual projects are recruited directly to labs or research projects and are advertised on an individual basis throughout the year. They are complemented by the University's Doctoral Training College which provides additional training, skills and well-being support.Doctoral Training Programmes are generally group-based, combining PhD study with a defined 3 to 4 year programme of scientific training, soft skills, and social activities.
