My lab focuses on clarifying real-time synaptic transmission dynamics and population coding schemes underlying cognitive processes such as oscillations, memory, and decision-making in vivo. With such knowledge, the lab seeks to elaborate on what, where, when, and how such dynamism goes wrong in disease conditions, e.g. dementia. Furthermore, the lab explores potential cell-type and pathway-specific manipulations in reversing dysfunctional neural circuits before neurodegeneration.
