Registration fees

Registration fees for University of Edinburgh students and staff wanting to attend Neuroscience Day are charged on a sliding scale:

  • £50: Principal Investigator/Group Leader
  • £35: Postdoctoral researchers and non-group leader research staff
  • £15: Postgraduate students
  • £0*: MSc by Research in Integrative Neuroscience students
  • £0*: BSc Honours students (final year) in the Deanery of Biomedical Sciences (e.g. Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Physiology, Medical Sciences)

*There are a restricted number places for students on these courses. These have been pre-paid by either the MSc programme or the Biomedical Teaching organistation in order to allow students to particiate in Neuroscience Day 2018. Please select the relevant option when registering (we do check who eveyone is and will cancel your booking if you don't qualify!)

Registration is via the University of Edinburgh ePay system: click here to register **closed**

How to use ePay

The university online registration system is straightforward but I recommend you keep this page open while booking and use these instructions as a help guide:

  1. Create an ePay account for yourself (if you don't already have one from a previous event). You will get a confirmation email that you are registered with ePay. This only confirms you are registered to use the system.
  2. Select the delegate registration rate that applies to you and add the event to your basket.
  3. Once you have done this you need to purchase your ticket for the meeting. To save yourself some time, click the 'Use My Customer Details' option in the top right of the 'Delegate Details' page to automatically complete the form (this saves you entering the same information twice). Click the 'continue' button (green button, bottom right).
  4. We then need some additional, meeting-related, information (e.g. centre affiliation for your badge, dietary requirements and whether you require a paper copy of the meeting handout). Once you have completed these questions you click 'continue' (green button, bottom right) to review your booking.  If you are happy, click 'Add to basket' (green button, bottom right).
  5. You are then asked to review your basket order and then 'proceed to checkout' (green button, bottom right) to pay. You will receive email confirmation of your booking and payment. Make sure you received this confirmation email and have therefore bought your ticket for the meeting (and not just registered to use the epay system). You need to fully complete this processes even if your payment rate is zero (MSc and Honours student pre-paid registrations).

Block Bookings

It is possible for up to 10 people to be added to one payment transaction on our ePay site so, if your lab head or centre prefers, they can make a block booking and pay on behalf of a group of people. Unfortunately the epay system cannot interact with the internal, eIT, payment system so payment is still by credit or debit card.

  1. To add additional delegates to the booking simply register the first person and proceed through all the choices for them until you reach the 'Booking Summary' page. You will then see a grey 'Add Delegate' button in the bottom left.  Click this to add an additional person. You will be asked to select their delegate category and provide information about them in the same way - you can't use the 'use my customer details' fast-fill button here or you will end up registering the account holder and not the new delegate. We don't need home addresses so simply supply a brief work address.
  2. You can then add a third delegate when you reach the 'Booking Summary' page again. You can do this up to 9 times. When you have added all delegates you require, simply select 'Continue' (green button, bottom right) to go to the payment page.

Register before it sells out

Places for Neuroscience Day are limited so we recommend that you book early to avoid disappointment. We do have a deadline but palces usually sell out in advance of this.

Registration deadline: Wednesday 14 March 2018 (registration will close when we are full, so we do not usually reach the deadline)
