The RS MacDonald Seedcorn Fund

This new fund supports the development of neuroscience research projects and collaboration at the University of Edinburgh.

The Neuroresearchers Fund

Awards are aimed at helping further the career development of our early-years researchers and, by doing so, bring added benefit to research in the wider Edinburgh Neuroscience community.

University of Edinburgh-McGill University Neuroscience Collaboration

McGill University and The University of Edinburgh have partnered to establish collaborative research and training opportunities in Neuroscience

WR Henderson Scholarship

This is awarded annually and aims to allow motivated students to gain experience and opportunities that will promote their future research careers in brain sciences. It will be awarded to undergraduate students (including those in their final year of study) to allow them to pursue laboratory research over the summer vacation in a laboratory within Edinburgh Medical School: Biomedical Sciences, University of Edinburgh.

Go Abroad - Staff

Go Abroad for Staff provides opportunities and funding for academic and professional services staff to undertake short teaching or training visits to Europe and behond. The programme is open to all staff with a contract of employment at the University of Edinburgh, full-time or part-time. There are two experiences available:

In Europe: the Erasmus+ programme provides funding to train or teach in a number of countries in Europe - individuals can apply to any institution in any of these countries at any time of year.

Outside Europe: The Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility programme offers funding to train or teach at specific institutions in 2019/2020. There are several application rounds throughout the year until all places are used. Next deadline: 30 September 2019.
