Professor Charles ffrench-Constant has received the 2019 Chancellor's Research Award

Congratulations to Professor Charles ffrench-Constant (Centre for Regenerative Medicine) for receiving the Chancellor's Award for Research Excellence in 2019! This is great news following on from last year's recipient, Professor Richard Morris (Centre for Discovery Brain Sciences). The Chancellor's Research Award honours a colleague who has enhanced the University's research reputation by making a significant contribution to research.
Professor Charles ffrench-Constant is a Professorial Fellow based at the Medical Research Council for Regenerative Medicine and Dean of Research for the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine. He has received the award in recognition of his outstanding research in the field of Neurobiology and for inspiring and supporting colleagues, peers, and young scientists.
Professor Richard Morris has been Professor of Neuroscience since 1974 and is interested in understanding memory and helping to develop treatments for individuals with memory problems. His group primarily works on whether and how memory on the plasticity of the brain. He received the award in 2018 in recognition of his outstanding internationally regarded research in the field of the neurobiology of learning and memory.
