Deadline
The deadline for appplications is at 5pm on Monday 9th January 2023.General entry requirements
Applicants must have at least a UK 2:1 honours degree, or its international equivalent, in a discipline relevant to the PhD of their interest. It is expected that this would include in the areas of biomedical sciences, neuroscience, physiology, pharmacology, biochemistry, cell biology, biological sciences, epidemiology, genetics, health informatics, mathematics, and psychology.

Submitting an application
Each PhD from within the ERUK-DTC will be advertised as individual PhDs on Find-a-PhD.com and the ERUK Edinburgh Doctoral Training Centre website
Once you have identified the PhD that interests you, please email the required accompanying documents directly to the Principal Investigator for the PhD that you are interested in with “ERUK-DTC application” in the email subject line: Completed references from two referees, sent in pdf format, are also needed. It is your responsibility to contact each of these referees and ask them to complete and submit a reference to the Principal Investigator of your selected PhD project; email contact details would be in the FindaPhD advertisement. Subject line should specify “Reference for [applicant's name] ERUK DTC”. You are encouraged to send your referees the "Reference Guidelines", which can be download below. Download Reference Guidelines here Please pay careful attention to the deadline for the receipt of applications and make sure your references have been submitted by your referees before the application deadline above. Academic transcripts of degree courses and copies of degree certificates with final classification are not required at application stage, but will be requested if you are selected for interview. These documents should be provided in English or with an official translation. Applicants are welcome to contact the supervisors of the PhD that they are interest in to find out more about the PhD project. Interviews are expected to be held online, in mid to late February for entry in September of the same year.
