Cognition

There are many facets of cognition that have an impact on how healthy we stay as we get older.  Likewise, there are many environmental influences on cognitive ability and cognitive ageing. These can be studied in both human and animal subjects. 

Children undergo the very processes that neuroscientists seek to understand: they learn new facts, acquire memories and skills, and build social relationships with others. All of these processes involve change in their brains.

Clinical scholarships

The clinical scholarships are for outstanding clinically qualified candidates who aspire to be a leading clinical academic.

The scheme offers a 3-year scholarship leading to a PhD. Scholars will conduct an original research project in a world-class research environment, with mentoring and transferable skills training to equip them to compete as independent investigators in area of translational or clinical research.
